Paris Arbitration Week 2026

Kishorre Jaichandni, Founder and Managing Director of CAVEAT CAPITAL  will speak on a panel “Power and International Law: What role for International Arbitration” during the Paris Arbitration Week 2026 an event hosted by Foley Hoag LLP on Wednesday, 25th March 2026. This panel shall discuss how international law and international adjudication, including arbitration, modulates power. We will unpack the doctrinal levers and procedural tools that are being deployed – necessity and security exceptions, proportionality and due diligence (including advisory opinions), attribution and countermeasures, interim measures against sovereigns, treatment of classified or security sensitive evidence, and enforcement amid immunity and sanctions constraints. We also address remedies and valuation when State measures pursue community interests, counterclaims, and strategic coordination across regimes that increasingly inform arbitral reasoning.

The discussion will explore key issues at the intersection of international arbitration and dispute strategy, including practical perspectives on risk, enforcement, and funding considerations in cross-border disputes.
